Basic CoursesWSM and Fireware BasicsThis courseware set provides an overview of WatchGuard System Manager (WSM) and Fireware Policy Manager. Students learn how to install a Firebox using the Quick Setup Wizard, create basic security policies, and get more information about additional security services. The Firewall Basics with Fireware technical certification exam is based on this material. Firebox X Edge and Edge WirelessIdeal for beginners, this course introduces basic networking concepts in the context of network security. Students learn to install and perform basic configuration of the WatchGuard Firebox X Edge. WatchGuard SSLFollow along as experienced WatchGuard trainers demonstrate the basic installation and setup of a WatchGuard SSL device. Topics covered include tunnel pack registration, installing the WatchGuard SSL server software, using the v2.0 Administration Service wizard, and basic resource creation. In-Depth CoursesMulti-WAN MethodsThis courseware discusses the use of the multi-WAN feature in Fireware. Students examine the purpose and uses of multi-WAN, sticky connections, and learn about the four different routing method types. VLAN ConceptsThis course explains the concept of a virtual local area network (VLAN) in Fireware and describes several different VLAN technologies that are in use today. You will learn everything necessary to successfully deploy VLANs with your Firebox. We present three typical use cases with VLANs, and you configure the Firebox for each of these situations. Active Directory AuthenticationThis training course shows you how authentication works, and how Fireware can use your Active Directory users and groups to authorize users to access network resources. This course also demonstrates two examples of Active Directory authentication that might apply in your network. VPN CreationThis training course shows you how to create Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) between multiple locations using Fireware. Students also learn about creating VPNs in a Multi-WAN environment, and about VPN failover. |
